You say this...

"So... should we believe him on some things, and then just disregard him when the information he provides is not convenient to the partisan politics of the day??"

The NBC Report said this on 3/20 under the title...
"Saddam’s foreign minister told CIA the truth, so why didn’t agency listen?"

"On the issue of chemical weapons, the CIA said Saddam had stockpiled as much as "500 metric tons of chemical warfare agents" and had "renewed" production of deadly agents. Sabri said Iraq had stockpiled weapons and had "poison gas" left over from the first Gulf War. Both Sabri and the agency were wrong."

The Telegraph article on 3/21 you posted said this...

Sabri today denied the claims, made by NBC's Nightly News.

And NBC News reported this from Reuters on 4/21 confirmed by 60 Minutes on 4/23...

The source "told us that there were no active weapons of mass destruction programs," Drumheller said in a CBS interview to be aired on Sunday on the network's news magazine, "60 Minutes."

"The (White House) group that was dealing with preparation for the Iraq war came back and said they were no longer interested," he was quoted as saying in interview excerpts released by CBS on Friday.

"We said: 'Well, what about the intel?' And they said: 'Well, this isn't about intel anymore. This is about regime change'," added Drumheller, whose CIA operation was assigned the task of debriefing the Iraqi official.

I'll be darned... Drumheller says the CIA did listen and amazing, the WMD search groups never found anything. Who is playing the "partisan politics" game?
