Re: One major problem with most of those benchmarks is how Conroe performs when the working set is much larger than 4MB. It's not a major problem at all. Such situations will be rare for the vast majority of desktop users. Conroe isn't going to win EVERY benchmark and be the best fit for EVERYONE. Even the Athlon 64 FX-60 occasionally loses to the PEE 965. I won't be surprised if Conroe doesn't show much of a performance increase in many single video card gaming benchmarks run at 1600x1200 4xAA/16xAF either.
