The energy bill is political fraud. Any politician who thinks H2 and Corn Ethanol are solutions are frauds. The energy mess in this country is a result of the total collapse of sanity in this area. Each side wants an issue and not a solution.

The biggest tragedy is the media is so biased they cannot report the truth. Corn Ethanol - idiocy. H2 cars - where is the H2 going to come from.

If ever there was a chance for a third party in this country it must be now.

Bob

My e-thoughts of John Snow's appointment as WH Press Sec.

HIs face is known worldwide and hence his appointment jump starts the Bush Administration with a familiar face.

One of his earlier observations:
“His (Bush’s) wavering conservatism has become an active concern among Republicans, who wish he would stop cowering under the bed and start fighting back against the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Wilson,” Snow wrote last November after Republicans failed to win the governor’s race in Virginia. “The newly passive George Bush has become something of an embarrassment.”

This tells me that BUsh has chosen someone who believes in the path to confrontation instead of co-operation. At this h our, the nation is crying out for people in DC to work together. Taking the fight to the Democrats is not the same as taking the fight to Al Qaeda. BUsh and his adviser Tony Snow needs to realize that.

Another of Tony Snow's remark:
Last month, Snow wrote that Bush and the Republican Congress had “lost control of the federal budget and cannot resist the temptation to stop raiding the public fisc. (treasury)”

THis is a good sign if Tony believes in fiscal discipline. It remains to be seen if he will carry his weight with the inner circle of the Bush WH on this issue.
