No, it doesn't kumar. CA is heavily Dem, and tends to vote that way. Our gas is nearly that high here....within pennies away....PLUS CA has all sorts of boutique gases to contend with....

Are you aware that in CA you're paying a sales tax on fuel on top of state and federal gas taxes? The higher the price of gas, the more tax that CA collects. At a, say, 9% sales tax rate, when gas is a buck a gallon, the state gets 9 cents. With gas at 3 bucks a gallon, the sales tax is 27 cents per gallon. The pols yelp about high prices yet love raking in the results of same. Hypocritical bastards.
