You would think that if 60% of the country thinks we are going in the wrong direction, Bush would hire someone who might convince them otherwise, not bash the hell out of anyone who isn't part of the loyalist camp.

Very bad idea. The incumbent doesn't seem to have any ideas beyond catering to his base. Now, will the Dems seize the opportunity or lapse into their usual squabbling and disarray?
