If we could get rid of 'insurance', get rid of the AMA and it's inanely inefficient and corrupt monopolization of healthcare and protection of incompetent practitioners, we could provide healthcare for all.

We need healthCARE, not healthINSURANCE. The first is an actual service, beneficial about half the time, the latter is pure corruption.

We also need to boot out those practitioners who are incompetent. There are some 200,000 practitioner inflicted deaths and about 50% of the time, practitioners don't treat the affliction effectively. Why aren't practitioners being jailed for killing people through negligence or sheer stupidity?

Small wonder that doctors are becoming nothing but pillpushers...they don't know what to do half the time (I think the statistics said 53% of the time the 'care' didn't cure what ailed people).

The AMA, BigPharma, BigHospitalChains are what ails the healthcare system in the US just as BigOil is what ails the silliness of fossil fuels in cars. Brazil, BRAZIL is going energy independent. At the core of all of this corruption is the corrupt political system funded by campaign contributions and enabled by brain dead Americans.

We are in such trouble. I suspect we'll start seeing more implosions soon. It is, after all, not yet summer driving/hurricane season.
