@Doug/Joe - Sell
Why sell today?
I know, that noone could predict the future, but what is in
front of us near term? AMD board meeting in the beginning of
may. Turion X2 Launch coming, the same on desktop with AM2
and new Servers later and at the start of june the analyst
meeting with the newest infos on future CPUs. Its really
tough for me to see lower prices in this "environment" ...
But these are only my LITTLE 2c - as always.

Doug,

Used some of the proceeds to buy more Intel 2008 call leaps, this time at a $22.50 strike. Looks to me like investors have priced in a crappy Q2 for them already, but not completely sure, hence the long time frame.

I would not be buying Intel at this point. I think it was Tad La Fauntaine who last year rated Intel "Strong Sell" with target of $16. I think Intel will hit $16 before it goes significantly up from where it is today. But you have a plenty of time on those leaps.

I, too, will consider re-entering, once the relative performance of the K8L vs NGA becomes clear, along with a solid launch timeframe.

I think we should have some idea about this by July / August, which I think will be the low points for both companies.

Joe

you are probably correct...and your timing is probably impeccable...but i have always found that when i least expect anything good from AMD....

the thing is...i think that AMD common will probably be up 200% from these levels during the next two years and even if i were good at timing, which i am not, it is very unlikely that i can do better than that
