Well, in relation to our Senators/Congressman, it means he's at least willing to discuss a Palestinian state and dismantling of settlements.

That doesn't say much; unfortunately, most of our elected officials are fairly right-wing on Israel, especially the Republicans.

Extraordinary career choice opens up horizons

Dubai: When Fatima Khalifa Omair got admission to the engineering department at Dubai Aviation College five years ago, she had to face some resistance from people who worked there.

"One of them told me to get married and sit at home, but today the same people support and motivate me at work," she told Gulf News.

Fatima, 24, is the first national woman to study aircraft maintenance, and the lone female among 80 men learning to keep planes air worthy at Dubai Aviation College.
