As usual the rightwing nitwits and liars keep getting all of their 'facts' wrong. Dubyette tried to pass off the Nigerian baloney in a speech several months before the SOTU. It was discredited then but found its way into the SOTU where it gave Wilson a fit...as it should have.

The Dubyettes don't care about the truth (LOL), they care only about their own personal benefit. They are true sociopaths and can't be considered in the light of right, truth, reality and such. It's only when they are looked at in the light of their own personal greed that everything they do makes perfect sense.

Heck, these people care so little about reality that they're putting into McClellan's position a man who regularly called Bush an embarrassment. He had other choices words for the man he's now going to be defending...by lying.

There was no good reason to invade Iraq and, how ridiculous is it, ISRAEL says that it was IRAN and not IRAQ that Dubyette should have attacked. Considering that Israel needs the US for its own survival, that's a pretty damning public statement about the invasion of Iraq.

In the same vein, if a nuclear attack on Iran provides BigOil, BigPharma, BigAnything, GOP Reelection, the destruction of civil liberties, feudalism, etc. with money and power, it will happen if the Dubyettes can make it happen. It doesn't matter if Iran will never have nukes. It doesn't matter if Iran just turns tail and runs away from its belligerent statements. If Iran made lovey dovey with Israel tomorrow...it wouldn't matter.

What is happening under the Dubyettes, the 'inept' administration, is what happens when 'capitalism' runs amuck. It's called monopoly power with all of the violence, regressive policies, misery and corruption that this kind of sociopathic behavior entails.

Yes. I don't know much about it and will take me time to investigate all the issues around it.

Oh.. I'm sorry.. I thought that the very reason you initially responded to this topic thread was do to Naji Sabri's discussion of Chemical Stockpiles:

What is significant though, is that pro-invasion information, no matter how skimpy, no matter how poor of a forgery or how weak of a plagiarism managed to find its way to the highest levels but the anti-invasion opinions were scrutinized differently. Why was that? Shouldn't it have been the other way around?

Y'know.. my contention has always been that the reason information was "skimpy" was because Saddam was trying to hide what he was up to..

And when UNSCOM found that document in 1998 that stated Iraq had lied about the disposition of some 6,000 Chemical Warheads, they had originally claimed to have expended against Iran, it was pretty clear cut to me that the regime was not in compliance (and never would voluntarily be so).

So, we can agree that the Bush administration displayed a definite lack in their ability to make their case publicly.

But I contend that there was a case to be made. And I contend that the information we found from our research in Iraq, although still incomplete, confirms that Saddam's government was in material breach of UNSC resolutions and that they were involved in facilitating/conducting terrorist activities.

And I believe there is a growing case that Iraqi Intelligence may have had a hand in 9/11.
