LMAO! Needless to say I didn't get to sit. Man, I'm going to have to remember that one if I ever get called. You're more or less right though. If you make it to courts marshal you're probably going to end up in the stripey hole. Most officers have to serve the legal system in some way. My father (even though he was a pilot) had to defend some seaman that was accused of stealing money from a church in such a way that there wasn't a doubt that he was guilty (he was the only one there..and dropped his wallet to boot). My dad, having no other recourse tried to get him off.......by reason of stupidity <ggg>. Almost worked too, at the very least he got a slightly reduced sentence, discharge came later.
