"I don't pick stocks, I'm no good at it."

Condor, well....I won't say I AM good at it, but out of necessity to survive I've developed some due diligence stock picking skills....the criteria starts with sector....you have to have faith that the fundamentals favor a higher price for all natural resources...I think that's an excellent bet....
and uranium is an obvious standout there....

since I can't guess what Jim Dines next reco will be, I go with the potentially highest leveraged micro-caps stocks, which is where the real dd starts....the smaller and tighter the share structure, the better....management/insiders holding a good percentage of stock is an added bonus, as it indicates strong belief in the company....if you can call the co. and talk to the CEO directly, I would consider that a big plus...if you're directed to an IR guy, the co. is already too big to be of interest to me....I want obscure companies, with the potential to become one that investors will later note "used to be worth only xxx, look at it now, wow!"

experienced, well connected management is very important, but many times hard to judge....I have confidence in the heads of Pitchstone, for instance, but haven't yet seen enough of Ditem to have much of a "feel" for their team....I've owned Dejour since it was a penny stock, and like Hodgkinson, their lead man....

there's more, but those are some main points...
