A Big Mac's price is not fixed in dollars all around the world and it is in fact quite flexible. It's priced in every major world currency and it's dependent upon many factors such as input costs, competition, desired returns on capital, etc. A change in any of these factors will influence the price of a Big Mac. Does this pricing mechanism sound anything remotely similar to the China and Hong Kong dollar peg?

The F17 Blekinge Wing, which was to have taken part in the exercise, was informed of the decision on Tuesday, two weeks before the event. The exercise has been planned for more than eight months, reported Swedish Radio. The objective of the exercise was to train for any future international peacekeeping operations. But details of Israeli involvement changed the conditions of Sweden's participation, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "Our analysis of the current situation is that Israel's participation in this kind of peacekeeping effort does not seem likely given the political situation in the Middle East," said the ministry's press officer, Christian Karlsson, to SR. The exercise was supposed "to train for any future international peacekeeping operations." Such "peacekeeping operations" are often code for imperial invasion and occupation of sovereign nations. Sweden's English-language news site The Local is reporting that Swedish Radio interviewed Ministry of Foreign Affairs official Christian Karlsson, who said that "Our analysis of the current situation is that Israel's participation in this kind of peacekeeping effort does not seem likely given the political situation in the Middle East." Sweden's crack F17 Blekinge Wing was set to take part in the maneuvers. The Blekinge Wing has long helped to enforce Sweden's strict neutrality and, in the days of the Cold War, was on the front line between the Soviet Union and much of Northern Europe. Unlike the Swedish fliers the US-taxpayer-financed Israeli airforce is a thug operation that terrorizes innocent children and other civilians and -- with access to the region's only nuclear stockpile -- is a threat to world peace. As reported here at V-News recently, the Israeli airforce has been deploying "a terrifying new tactic against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip by letting loose deafening "sound bombs" that cause widespread fear, induce miscarriages and traumatise children." The Zionists use "jets to create dozens of sonic booms by breaking the sound barrier at low altitude, sending shockwaves across the territory, often at night.
