I think this is the defination of faith; believing something for which a reasonable case has not been made.

Depends upon the case you're trying to make.

The only case that Bush had to make was that Saddam was in material breach of more than a dozen binding UNSC resolutions demanding his disarmament and full accountability of all WMDs.

That material breach had existed from 1998, if not from the very moment we caught Saddam in a lie.

The onus on proving Iraq's compliance was on Saddam's shoulders. It was not the responsibility of UNSCOM or any other intelligence service to prove that he did, or didn't, have WMDS.
