Hi Peter,

I'm aware of a couple of large installations that were pre-wired for access points (POE and all) after lengthy site surveys and design optimization exercises, and those sites still don't have active APs four years after the day of move-in due to some of the same barriers I'm sure you're referring to. And some of them have very little to do with technical feasibility.

When you say .11g is inadequate and one should opt for .11n, what kind of load and path characteristics are you referring to? Right now I have a .11b working in my home at 11 Mbps, and for my purposes its working just fine. Are you going back to the distributed night-lite and air freshener scenario we discussed several days ago? An entertainment center connectivity plan? Che?
