According to the news Cuba actually INVITED us to develop the field (since we are the WORLD leader in deep water drilling rigs) and offered us financial incentives (ie all costs recovered THEN split profits 50/50) BUT we had to turn it down as its too close to the Florida coast. Now is this STUPID or what? Can we expect the CHINESE to do a better job of drilling with less likelihood of spillage THEN US with our superior technology? DAMN so many stupid things done.
