I don't agree with you. I've been participating in SI's political-coffee forums since the run-up to the war, pretty much when I created the DON'T START THE WAR thread which metaphorasized into the Stop the War thread. I'm a pretty good chess player remember things well, especially when it comes to strategy. And it's my specific recollection that when the left criticized Bush Administration policies they frequently would cite references to support their positions. They were met in return by bevies of insults and more, by rightwingers. Some on the left responded in like kind, but most did not. How do I know this? I saw this happen to me. And I remember well.
