How could Bush have lost in 2004? Perhaps if the Howard Dean campaign didn't implode after Iowa, Bush could have had a tougher time winning.

Doubt it...kerry was defeated by his own campaign and the swift boater smear campaign....the latter a dishonorable, disgusting display worthy of the tactics used to smear mccain in south carolina.

Oh come on........Dean's implosion had nothing to do with Bush winning. Its the dirty campaign that the GOP runs these days that did the trick. Hell, a GOP almost won the WA state governship thanks to Rove. Kerry was not equipped to run a campaign as dirty. It used to be the political campaigns for national office were cleaner than local races. No longer.
