Enron and Bush-Cheney were almost the same entity in 2000-2001 during the height of the gouging. Enron private jets were Bush-Cheney's to use for free and Rove ran Bush-Cheny operations out of Enron headquarters. They even got Enron to pay Ralph Reed 150 K as a so-called "energy advisor" when his only job was to oprganize the religious right for Bush, in order to carry out dirty tricks against McCain. In fact, it was Bush's hope that Ken Lay would be his Secretary Of Treasury or Energy, and when you listen to the Enron traders tapes in the movie "Enron" you can hear them laughing about it and high-fiving, knowing that they'd be able to keep gouging and cheatong consumers for years with Bush-Cheney-Lay in power. But Lay turned the job down.
