Rove is under oath. If he says "I forgot" and nobody believes him he is just as guilty as if he lied. And by the way, Rove has outright lied in Plamegate which is why he's in such desperate straights now, trying to explain why he lied.

Reagan was never put under oath and accused of any crimes so far as I can remember.

Valerie Plame was an important CIA agent working on the IRANIAN NUCLEAR PROGRAM. Once outed, every person she came into cointact with going back years was compromised.

And Bushies are talking about bombing Iran. With what intel? Plame's? One of her associates'? This is treason, lady. No mistaking it.

Valerie was innoperative and working at a desk.

Valerie Plame was responsible for breaking up a WMD ring operating out of Turkey. There is much speculation that this ring was actually an attempt to plant phony evidence for Rumsfeld to find in Iraq. One reason that Cheney was mad at her is that she ended up defusing Tenet's "slam - dunk" scenario for justifying the war.
