re: Convert all those commuting one-passenger SUV's to tiny hybrids! In a 5 mph traffic jam, a hybrid uses NO gas at all, it stays in electric mode. To get the people OUT of the SUV's and INTO the tiny hybrids, you need some public policy incentives. Dumbya? YOU'RE the leader... Of course you have read "my plan". I think the most inportant thing is to incentive gasoline MPG efficiency, technology agnostic. Hell, a traditional internal combustion engine that gets 50 MPG is a GREAT thing. Put everybody in the US in one of those... we are energy independent. But you are right, we need leadership more than we need technology. John
