Good points. I have also posted elsewhere and here I guess, that the good product lines of VTSS will not disappear but end up with vendors who badly want and need them. Primarily I am thinking of the GE Networking line, great Ethernet product and people. I even happen to know some of them and you guess how happy they are right now!

Next no doubt the storage line of products would easily find a home as would at least some if not all of the core telecom products.

But I really doubt VTSS as a legal entity will survive in full like now. Maybe the name would be retained for a down sized reconstructive effort with ample funding? With other product areas sold off or just closed down...

Many options are open!

But Lou is a goner, 95% confidence level IMO.
