GOLD-ORE RESOURCES (V-GOZ) $ 0.69 +0.20
BRAZMIN CORP. (T-BZM) $ 2.84 +0.19

Little doubt where the excitement was today—once again it’s
commodities with copper prices roaring and gold flying. In this
market, timing is everything and I guess ours was just a wee-bit
slow.

Andrew Kaip the Haywood mining analyst had been telling
us that one of those “cheapies with a chance” type-plays was
little Gold-Ore Resources with their Bjorkdal project in Sweden.

They say a picture is sometimes worth a thousand words and
the picture to your left tells you more than a little about what
Gold-Ore has going for them.

It’s on a project with a mining history and most importantly,
that big building there—it has a mill on site! All these little
start-ups out there could have huge infrastructure costs, Gold-
Ore already has it as part of their project.

They also have some experienced mine management in Glen
Dickson and Alvin Jackson. A big move in the stock today and
what we had hoped to feature and look good on a few weeks
down the road….oh, well.

In the meantime, Kaip admits that he wouldn’t be surprised
to see a $50 correction in gold sooner or later and he would be
using corrections to look at some of the laggards in the silver
market and his portfolio might include Sabina Resources
(SBB), Esperanza Silver (EPZ) and MAG Silver (MAG). Also, he
is still a huge admirer of Bear Creek Mining (BCM).

Meanwhile today, hitting a new high despite no news is Braz-
Min Corp., a favorite of Haywood’s Jim Mustard and Canaccord’s
Graeme Currie. Well, actually there is some news—the
news being that they are finally going back to work. President
Tony Ransom tells us that after the four months of monsoons
that they have in the middle of the Amazon jungle in Brazil, they
are gearing up to get back to work and the rigs are moving to
the site as we speak.

He hopes that the drills will be turning the first week of May
on the Sao Jorge property. He suggests that the drilling there
will be two-fold with infill drilling and eventually a step-out in
the northwest. He says to check out their website to get an
idea of where they are going.

Later in this year they will be looking at their other two projects
in Brazil—the Tartarugalzinho probably around the third
quarter and the Agua Branca, probably around the second
quarter. In mid-May, expect a very important reserve report.
BrazMin Corp.

PANTERRA RES. (V-PAN) $0.43 +0.03
Now that Allan Laird is no longer with Falcon Oil & Gas, he is going
to have a little more time for one of his favorite pleasures. Hockey!
But it will be different as he won’t be enjoying the company picnics
down in Denver to watch the Avalanche, he is now going to be
stuck back in Calgary having to watch the Flames! Poor lad! At
least the Flames have one thing of interest to him—and that’s a
good goalie. Which brings up the point that now he is going to
have some time on his hands and be able to relax after almost 300
days on the road in the last year, he might even get back to playing
a little more hockey himself next year. We don’t know who is looking
for a beaten up old goalie with the nickname “Shaky” but there
you go. We hope to get Allan in his time of semi-relaxation/semiretirement
to check out some oil and gas companies for us and the
one to the left would be an obvious target knowing his expertise.
(These are scary days—Can you believe Debbie of Deb’s Ditty
fame is winning the office hockey pool?)
