I know. The Republicans really did used to be the "party of fiscal responsibility", but, I'm afraid they've lost that mantle forever.


You know its funny.......I heard that growing up. As an adult, I could never figure out what it meant.

I think it started with Reagan, and it's just exploded under Bush, this "borrow and spend" philosophy. Since he's only President for eight years, what does he care? Reagan cared, and even raised taxes a little. Poppy raised taxes even more.

Yeah, that's a joke.......so is the notion that he was one of our 'great' presidents aka Abe Lincoln and George Washington.
