I talked to a local pig farmer a few years back that told me he's got 5,000 acres of pigs and a 5,000 acre soybean field. I was pretty impressed with the fact that he could raise all these hogs without the expense of buying feed. He told me "I know this sounds crazy but, the way things are set up, it's more profitable to sell the soybeans and buy the feed". And the govt tells us we need to conserve fuel!
