<talking about bombs in an airport <>
Backward superstitious "natives" used to have ideas like that. If you mention something, it might make it real. Surely it's not illegal to talk about bombs in an airport so much as make threats about bombs or mislead people into thinking that one has a bomb [which is making a threat].

Americans are highly superstitious, so I guess they are like that. What if one is carrying a book with the word "bomb" in the title, or the word is somewhere in the text?

Authoritarians just love Osama and terrorism. It gives them carte blanche to go ape. They don't say they like Osama and wouldn't admit it, but they do. It gives their pathetic lives meaning. Without ordering people around and being bossy, they feel pointless. Which is what they are.

Most people are serf-like, so get into Stockholm syndrome very easily, without knowing it, so they go along with the whole process.
