Andrew, We are already paying for the base. If you are connected.... you can get premium unless better is available elsewhere (certain cancers etc) already..

So are you OK paying for the 'oppressed' and nd not benefiting ... just asking ..

My take on the oppressed (especially if you saw my comment on the oil sands thread re First Nations and oil sands) is not an over riding concern for the 'oppressed' (although I think it would be terribly hard to find 'oppressed' in Canada... except for the self 'oppressed'..

The entire point of public public healthcare is to provide a decent standard for all... if you need better and can afford it .. fine.. I think an educated and healthy populace is more efficient and cheaper for all concerned in the long run... I'm not just being altruistic here...
