My possible answers:

Q: What will be the effect on the GOP's 2006 elections if we bomb some of Iran's probable locations?

A: In general, positive (unfortunately). Especially if the strike is carried out by a surrogate.

Q: How will we know if we hit the correct sites?

A: The Bush Administration will tell you they set back the Iranian time table by ten years. There is no way to verify this, so that will be the talking point.

Q: How horribly will our stock markets accept it?

A: I don't know.

Q: Why unite the majority of Iran's population against us that don't like their current government?

A: Bush united the Iranians behind a hardliner when he called Iran part of the "Axis of Evil" in 2002 (one of the great strategic blunders of modern times).

Q: If Bush would ever use tactical nuclear weapons without provocation how would America and the rest of the world react?

A: Bush will not use nukes. That would turn opinion against him. Remember this is just a stunt (wag the dog) to help him in the 2006 elections.

We'll probably shrug it off. Out of sight out of mind. Israel will probably play a supporting role, as they are already involved in Iraq and using it as a forward base to keep tabs on Iran.

One last question, are we willing to pay $5.50 a gallon for gas, because it would be at least that much , possibly $6.00 to $7.00 a gallon after an Iran strike?
