Jim, Amnesty doesn't stop anything. Not by itself, but with a renewed focus on border patrol and kicking out illegals after the amnesty, it could work in an ideal case. Of course, the ideal case would have been to enforce the immigration laws in the first place. No way........every illegal in this country has 3-5 relatives and a few friends who want to live in this country. If you legalize the current crop, the others will come over. And in ten years, we'll be having the same discussion once again. Its time to stop it completely........deport the current crop of illegals over a two year period while reinforcing the borders properly.
