Communist Rebels In E India Kill 13 Hostages -Reports NEW DELHI (AP)--Communist rebels killed 13 hostages in the eastern Indian state of Chattisgarh, media reports said Saturday. The rebels, who took 52 villagers hostage Tuesday, killed two of them Friday and 11 more Saturday in the district of Dantewada, local police superintendent Sant Kumar Paswan told the Press Trust of India news agency. The rebels, who claim to be inspired by Chinese revolutionary Mao Zedong, have been fighting for more than two decades, demanding land and jobs for agricultural laborers and the poor.
