BUSH LIED about No Child Left Behind

This fraud was uncovered first in 2000 by the Rand Corporation's study of the Texas school system where low-scorers and drop-outs were excluded, and kids were taught the test instead of what they should be learning, all in order to give a false impression Bush was strong on public education. And yes, now 2 million kids nationally are being excluded. Now we have to ask WHAT ABOUT THOSE UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS? Remember when Elaine Chao was trying to classify McJobs as "manufacturing sandwich jobs"? And what about the 135 billion they didn't count as Medicare costs? Or the fact Bush leaves huge war costs out of his deficit numbers?

"An Associated Press computer analysis has found Laquanya is among nearly 2 million children whose scores aren't counted when it comes to meeting the law's requirement that schools track how students of different races perform on standardized tests.

The AP found that states are helping public schools escape potential penalties by skirting that requirement. And minorities who historically haven't fared as well as whites in testing make up the vast majority of students whose scores are excluded.
