Yep, just as Dubyette positioned 200,000 troops on the border of Iraq calling for Saddam to relinquish WMDs he knew Iraq didn't have... Dubyette is proceeding ahead just as if there were no obstacles to his grand plan of being the second coming of Jesus Christ....or something like that. Heck, if he's still sitting in the Oval Office listening to God talk directly to him then why shouldn't he think he's the second coming? Here is, after all, the drug and alcohol laden C-student sitting at the controls of the biggest military machine the world has ever seen. Why shouldn't he think he's the second coming of something? I mean, who would have believed that he could sleepwalk his way through life and still end up in the WH...twice. He must, therefore, be something truly special and, given his conversations with God, be something holy and magical. Yep, I can see that this is how his mind would work in order to make heads or tails of what he sees.
