Let's debunk another rightwing myth, that lower taxes create higher revenues. While it's true that tax cuts can juice an economy, especially if they target the consumers, unless spending comes down accordingly, they also create mountains of debt, as we are seeing now.

The Bush economy is good for the top 10% or so, but it's not only unsustainable, it forces severe moves in the near future. The next presidents will either have to jack up taxes sharply or slash entitlement programs and the defense budget, or all three. We are currently running about a 900 billion a year deficit, which is outrageous.
