UK Average Household Disposable Wealth Tops GBP40,000 (keeping my scottish brethern beat down - where is william wallace?) LONDON (Dow Jones)--The U.K.'s average household disposable wealth has topped GBP40,000 for the first time, according to a study based on March 2006 numbers released Monday. The report, by data marketing firm KDB, said the sum had grown 7% year-on-year, "giving economic confidence to our view of increases in consumer spending and debt in early 2006." "The North-South divide between the wealthiest region (London - GBP81,732) and the least wealthy region (Scotland GBP29,724) remains clearly polarized, but has narrowed," it said.
