Crimson > Democrat war hawk Joe Biden has just proposed breaking Iraq into three states -- a key objective of Israeli Likudniks for a at least a decade

Sure, but where's the famous "democracy" we keep hearing about? To break up Iraq is a recipe for war and civil war because the Sunnis won't accept it and although the Kurds and their Israeli friends would love it, the second they announced themselves as an independent state Turkey would attack them. Under no circumstances will Turkey accept an independent Kurdistan. In the event of a break-up, the Shiite dominated south would likely form a federation with Iran to create the most powerful coalition in the region, much to the concern of the other Arab states and the West. And after all this where does the US fit in? The Shiites don't like the US, the Sunnis don't want the US, and what the Kurds think doesn't matter.

> Bush is too tainted to effectively carry on the neo-con agenda.

Tainted by carrying out the neocon policies, that is. I suppose they think Hillary will do a better job, or maybe they still have hopes for Lieberman. Perhaps one day someone will actually implement policies that are in the US' self-interest and not Israel's or is that too much to hope for?
