I got hit once by an unemployed woman driving someone else's car with no insurance. A cop came and I got her contact information, but there wasn't any point in trying to pursue compensation. You can't get blood out of a turnip as they say. I just threw her contact information in the trash a few days later

And that, my friend, is why you should carry UIM (underinsured (or uninsured) motorist coverage) insurance.

That's a shame!

There is something you can have that will protect you but I disremember what it's called. Something else on your insurance. We have it but for the life of me I can't think of the name of it.
