Bolton getting called on PNAC

why does it take a young female cub reporter from a weekly paper to ask the right questions?

bolton first tries to discredit her by asking, with an incredulous tone of voice and demeanor, what media outlet she's with and then with a denial of some of her points leading to her question and finally by not answering her question at all.

all any curious or truth seeking person needs to do is pull up this PNAC document and read the 90 page report published in 2000 to see that she is quite well informed and that bolton (who was a director of the PNAC at the time) is completely evading any discussion of the PNAC.

newamericancentury.org

this PNAC report outlines exactly the policy and ideology that has guided every move the bush administration has made since taking office. it explains perfectly the motivation for the invasion of iraq, the upcoming use of military force against iran and future action against north korea.

almost all of the principals of the PNAC are or have been either employed or closely aligned with the current administration... and all of their executive decisions and actions have been completely consistent with the PNAC policies and ideology of a global "American geopolitical and military preeminence" to secure "American power abroad" and "protect American global interests and ideals"... in other words... American Imperialism... with little or no regard for the interests of the six billion other people on the planet.

imperialism is a flawed and doomed policy for stewardship of the planet and humanity. it is completely undemocratic. it only works with one "great decider" at the helm and can not function with "the people" as the "deciders". i don't deny these people's right to believe in imperialism but it irks me no end for them to cloak and hide these plans and motives behind manufactured "intelligence" alluding that america is under immediate threat by evil regimes seeking to acquire weapons of mass destruction to kill us all. that secrecy and subversion, while throwing up the smokescreen of fear and danger is what keeps "the people" of this country uninformed and misinformed... and it is what keeps us from taking their imperial powers away from them and making our own decisions about how to govern ourselves and live peacefully together with the rest of our human family sharing this planet and it's resources.

if they would publicly admit their imperialist agenda they would quickly see that there are a lot more of US in the world than there are of them and their power over us would be immediately seen as the "tiny stick" it really is compared to the power of the people united for self rule and self determination.

that's why the cub reporter's question was so important. because it begs the disclosure of the imperialist agenda and even when unanswered by the deceitful, like john bolton, it encourages others who hear it to do some simple investigation and find out the answer on their own.

wikipedia is a good place to start (easy read - lots of links):

en.wikipedia.org

and if you REALLY want to know what the answer to the cub reporter's question is, here's an in-depth essay by someone who's a lot smarter, better informed and a much better writer than i:

crisispapers.org

i wonder if the author, Bernard Weiner, PhD., could be our old friend "lurqer"? <g>

(i think this has been posted here on siouxp's thread before)

thanks for the link to that CNN soundbite karen. i know you already know about pnac, who the principals are and what their agenda is... but maybe someone who doesn't will read this and learn...
