re: Round them up and jail them? Deport them? Turn them into bonded labor for two years? Sounds like a hard time for the tired poor huddled masses. And what if Americans don't want to do the jobs that the illegals were doing? I don't want to pick grapes.

Strict enforcement including jail time for anyone that employs an illegal, with a six months grace period so that the illegals can make their way back to their home country. They are here for our jobs; without the jobs they leave.

re: Huh? Do you mean implement a global minimum wage? That's totally ridiculous.

Did I say anything about wages? If a US company wants to manufacture overseas for import, they would have to insure that the safety conditions and environmental standards are equal to US standards. Level playing field. Nothing new, it's all been proposed for years.

Or are you against better working conditions for non-US laborers?

re: Third, we've got to figure a way to smooth the US wage scale, back to the way it used to be. I frankly don't know how you do that... it's more a social issue than a political or business issue. But it needs to be done if America isn't going to fall into third world status that you seem to admire so much.
