re: Have you noticed that in the past year or two states are taking matters into their own hands? States as disparate as WA state and GA are each pursuing a course of action that the federal gov't has failed to take up. Instead of strengthening the presidency, Bush may end up strengthening the hand of the states at the expense of both the presidency and Congress. I have noticed that. And the Feds are fighting back. Did you see the bill that would keep the states from setting local guidelines on food safety?
