It's not game over for illegals. A large majority of US Citizens symphatize with their situation - even people who want to build a big wall.

Many Americans personally like Mexicans and the other Central Americans.

Very few people have a favorable impression of the Mexican govenrment or the Mexican elite. For a major Latin American nation, they tend to rank near the bottom...and isn't because Mexico has no resources or Mexicans don't work hard.

Corporations still want cheap labor, so I expect there will contunue to be a stalemate with many people in legal limbo.
