Re: It seems the crime rate has been going up in Europe just as America's been going down. On several levels crime rates are similar. For example, property crime is either equal to US rates or higher. As for the murder, its getting there.......just give it few more years esp. as Muslims become more angry in France...

Nice try, but I saw through your trick... You cunningly mix up "crime" with "homicide", "murder", etc.

It wasn't a trick.......I made the distinction between property crime and murder or homicides.

As far as homicides are concerned, especially those involving firearms, don't worry: the US enjoys a comfortable lead:

Yes, among our minority population but when comparing American whites to European whites, the differences are not great at all.

As for "...Muslims become more angry in France...", remember that the death toll for last year's suburb riots (Nov/Dec 2005) was (almost) ZERO! French ghetto youths wreaked havoc and burned over 10,000 cars yet the only fatality was a man who died from a heart attack while in a brawl with angry youths...

You all ARE really children when it comes to this stuff. This was the first time.......its started spontaneously.......from years of anger and hate building. The next time it won't be quite so spontaneous and then there will be more deaths. And more the time after that. Last fall was just the beginning.
