Could we change that to: Faux Maverick Used War Salesman? Since his main stock in trade seems to be: 1) Adopt an alternate position to the "party line" on any particular issue ("I'm a FREE THINKER!") 2) Behind the scenes, and after the intial publicity has been harvested, settle for basically the same thing he opposed, provided it contains something like "the McCain amendment" which addresses practically nothing at all. ("I"M A TEAM PLAYER!") 3) Vote where his money comes from ("I'M FOR FREE ENTERPRISE!") He's a convoluted SOB and probably does not even do this consciously. He's just another guy rebelling against his father, but not wishing to go too far risking the loss of his father's esteem. GUCKEM! Namaste! Jim
