I was in the thriving metropolis of San Joaquin California yesterday. Yes there is an actual city to go along with the namesake valley. The population there is about 99% hispanic and 1% Indian (Mayor Dhaliwal and family). This is of course an aggie town where, if they ain't illegal, they have illegals in their family (hey, one of the residents said that to me).

Surprisingly, there was no protest march, no signs, no flag waving. There were a couple of workers hanging out in front of the Mayor's mini-mart drinking malt liquors out of cans wrapped in paper sacks. They had a hard day at work and were relaxing at their local hangout.

These guys didn't have time to protest, they were too busy working all day to make money for their families. Taking the day off for a protest is a luxury of the entitlement class.

Frankly, I think that the INS should have been in L.A. rounding up the illegals who are clearly here to waste everyone's time. And a special amnestymobile should have been up in San Joaquin handing out green cards to the folks who are being productive in the face of a bunch of people trying to use them for political gain.
