Just keep in mind that this has been great times for the oil companies, at our expense. There is a reason why they took these anti-efficiency and renewable measures. It's why they are now laughing all the way to the bank. I agree, Reagan certainly set us on this course. One of the first things Reagan did when assuming office was cut renewable energy research by 300% and remove the solar panels from the White House that Carter put up. Carter will go down in history as a visionary. Is it any wonder why they ate Carter for lunch over the Iranian Embassy Hostages? ABC created the show Nightline to chronicle that hostage situation, and was likely the brainchild of Republican rightwing interests (like oil and defense) at ABC to help get rid of Carter and replace him with their stooge Reagan.
