Know what happened in the First Crusade when the Crusaders took Istanbul (then Constantinople)? They sacked and burned much of it and killed thousands. They thought they were Muslims. They weren't. The people they were so busily killing were Christians. Still think religion is so innocent? You want a Religious Right thread, you can have it. Very easily. But those of us who aren't religious don't go away because of that. We're still here and were still conservative. I was conservative long before "Religious Right" was even a twinkle in Pat Buchanan's eye. So were lots of others. Maybe you should check the original threadhead about his religious beliefs. You might be very surprised. Go ahead. Try to force the Republican Party into a religious mold. All you'll do is set it up for an unstoppable string of election losses. It hangs together now by a thread. And you can ban me too if you want. Frankly, I don't give a d**n. All you'll do is decrease your own credibility.
