cellular-news.com

"Embarq, which will consist of Sprint Nextel's local communications business, said it expects 2006 pro forma operating revenue to decrease to a range of $6.4 billion to $6.5 billion from $6.7 billion a year earlier.

The new company also anticipates pro forma operating income of $1.45 billion to $1.55 billion, down from $1.76 billion a year ago. The guidance assumes the pending spinoff occurred on Jan. 1.

Separately, Sprint Nextel and Embarq said Sprint Capital Corp. plans to offer $4.49 billion in aggregate principal amount of Embarq's seven-, 10- and 30-year senior notes."
