Hi DAK:

LOL!!.....and "old goat" is a perfect label. (g)

Like you, I have recently peeled off a percentage of my GSL. Having bought it over the last few years from a buck on up, once it passed through $10, it made sense to book profits. Glad it worked out well for you as well. I have retained a percentage as I think we see a bid this summer. That said, I share your concerns for political events in the southern hemisphere. An interesting irony is becoming apparent.... Colombia, which has been a well known place to avoid over the last 20 years, may well be transforming itself into an acceptable place to do business, courtesy of that county's most remarkable leader, Uribe. Long may he preside.

On the broader front, the obvious deterioration of the US real estate scene mandates puts for this observer. The large (historic!) speculative population involved as well as the negative impact on consumer purchasing capability as "cash-out" home refinancing continues to implode should start to impact the stock market in the near term.

Best,
Earlie
