I think you might be wrong. The big guys can already manipulate the market using futures, options and other arrangements with much greater leverage than an etf. SLV is an efficient way for small or large investors to own silver. You may call that hoarding and you could be right in your use of that word, but then is one hoarding money when one puts it in a bank or invest it in securities? I did not expect that there would be a delivery of physical today. Not sure how the pos goes down when 8 million oz. are being purchased but it did. Profile as of 05/03/2006 Total Net Assets $555,123,947 Ounces of Silver in Trust 38,498,421 Shares Outstanding 3,850,000 Tonnes of Silver in Trust 1,197.4 I hate the late reporting. Hope they eventually are able to report a lot faster.
