Maybe she is unstable because her son died? There is a yiddush term that fits--perhaps we should have a little "rachmunus" for her. Rachmunus has a larger meaning that just compassion--perhaps a little understanding of the causes of her pain, more like empathy as opposed to mere sympathy. Hell, her son died and she acts in peculiar fashion but anyone who has lost a child does some of that, albeit in differnt ways. But some folks call her a traitor and say she is going to hell. Those people i have no use for.
