:"As for illegal immigration from Mexico, we don't have the manpower to do anything about it"

That's because we're focusing on the wrong end of the problem. We're trying to stop the millions of illegal immigrants, when we should be criminalizing the tens of thousands of illegal employers exploiting the illegal immigrants, a much more manageable problem.

No jobs = no illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigration is a GOP problem now, They're in charge and have been for many years. So why haven't they done anything about it? Democrats are moderate on illegal immigration. They're willing to strike a compromise which respects the humanity of the Mexicans while better protecting our border. But where's the leadership in the White House? Guest worker programs? You agree with that? Or are you for the arrests and 700 mile fence. And where do we find the manpower to patrol 700 miles of border? End the Iraq War now?

Then what about Canada and our seacoasts? Al Qaida guys have come in through Canada not Mexico.
