The Riskloves have been running these end of tightening or pause trades over and over for about six months now, and I suppose at some point they will get one. But I have seen fewer situations in my whole life following markets that have been traded or already discounted as much as this one has, just very very crowded, so I'm inclined to say "now what", even if they are right? Plus at this point Riskloves have their eye on the wrong ball anyway, as the players to watch are other CBs especially Japan and Europe. Notice all the surprise rate hikes?

Chance for another of these Thursday out of the ECB.

Finally the Fed doesn't control US interest rates, they will be set (and erratically I'm sure) by FCBs. They may decide to set them higher than the Fed ever would, so as to support all the USD holdings they own.
